Ok, I am sure this has been asked before so I am sorry if it is redundant. We are growing and wanting to do more things than I think powerpoint can do(I.E. moving backgrounds etc...) So the question is what worship software do you use and what are the pros and cons.. As always everyone here is so great with stuff like this. You respond and I will read and learn.
Peace

I am just across the way in Jackson, TN. Our praise team is not "on the stage " yet either, we have about 25 members of our worship ministry that sing on the praise team. We do only have 8 per Sunday, and we don't have a traditional Wed. night so that is when we rehearse. I like the idea of 8 it has a better blend for us and really makes everyone work hard to get the right sound. One reason we don't like more is because of the way our auditorium is shaped and the challenge of the sound, equipment etc... I think you need to try different numbers until you find out what best works in your situation. Don't know if that helped...I'm a fan of 8.

Gary,
Thanks I will make sure to look at those songs they may fit really well with what we are doing.
The Song " I call you holy" first few lines are:
I Call you Holy,
Your name is Holy,
I call You Holy, Holy you are....
Don't know if that will help anyone...Thanks again and I always know I can get help from the gang that hangs out here.
Thanks again

I am looking for an arrangement that I can buy or if anyone knows where I might get one for the song, "I Call You Holy". I really don't know who sings it. I have heard Psallo from LA do it at the Pepperdine Lectures before and it would really fit with some things we are doing in the next few weeks...any help would be GREAT... Thanks

For me it is Matthew West song "More"
I love you more than the sun and the stars
that I taught how to shine you are mine
And you shine for me to I love you
Yesterday and today and tomorrow
I'll say it again and again
I love you more.
What an awesome thought that the creator of the universe loves me that much and wants a relationship with me.

The new format is different, not bad but different. And i do think that a lot of people are busier than before. Sometimes you can post something and it take several days before you get a response and some times with in hours....I love this site even tho I do not post as often as others it is an important part of what i do and a place to find people with common concerns and people with a hugh heart for GOD.
Thanks to everyone for all you do.

I am reminded as I have been keeping up with this post about the scripture that calls us to be a living sacrifice. I think thats what worship is really all about.
It's not a Sunday thing but an everyday thing a living sacrifice thing.. As for the terminology issue i am reminded that " we are all parts of the same body" each part has a differnt functon and name...you can call my toe nail any thng you want to call it. It still will serve the purpose of my toe nail.
Drew I respect you for wanting not to be " in the way" and transparent, But think about this, our tradition is so into names how about we just stop that tradition by just being the part of the body God has called us to be. I am 43 years old and I have seen people get over come by things like this and I feel that your heart is in the right place.
I pray that you will grow where God has planted you to become the plant he wants you to be no matter what people may call you.
Brothers
Jeff Howell
