My comment can be an exact replica of Gary Bruce's, and Adam Jacob's comments EXCEPT, we use Mediahshout and not EasyWorship or Song Show Plus. Mediashout also as the direct import feature.

Lord I thank you.
Thank you for unexpected mechanical problems on mowing equipment that is costing me $1,200 in repairs and a couple of hundred in lost revenue. Thank you for using this to remind me that you are faithful and you will provide.
Thank you for an opportunity to help a friend and mentor from our church family install a sump pump drain that had to be fixed by crawling through a tight, nasty crawl space that by all human standards I did not fit in. Thank you that My 7 year old son was there to help, and he got to see what it looks like to serve a brother and sister.
Thank you for a praise team that is struggling because we just lost a soprano for the summer and will likely be permanently losing an alto that has been a part of the ministry for a decade. Thank you that we will see you bring us new talent, and new hearts that are passionate about leading others to worship you, or we will see you provide in some other way.
You were also too good to me yesterday, even in my struggles, and I do not deserve such favor either.
Help me to praise you in the storm.
Amen.

Thread: Video for wedding reception |
|
|
You guys who do video production. I've been asked by someone who is using our building for a wedding, to produce a video/photo slideshow set to music for the reception. Simple production with childhood pictures and footage of bride and groom from childhood through engagement.
I've done them for church, and for friends and family, but never for hire. How do I know how to charge for something like that.

We're looking at new accounting software for Westside.
What do you guys use?
We're looking for something economical if possible.
Any recommendations?

Thanks Sam,
It helped me too. We'll also use this at Westside to challenge other ministry leaders (leadership team, LIFE group leaders etc.) to evaluate their respective ministries.

I'll chime in. I do check and read WF everyday, I just don't find myself having anything to say. I don't really know why.
I really miss the arrangements as well. I had gotten dependent on them to the point that any arrangement that I knew was listed on WF, i didn't save in digital or hardcopy because I knew right where to find it.
Anyway
You guys who are posting, and maintaining are doing a great job, and please keep up the good work.
In His service
Wes

Thread: Curtni Bedwell |

I just got off the phone with Curt and they were almost positive it was cancer. The power of God has interviened because the biopsy results are in and Curtni does not have Cancer. This is a huge answer to prayer. She is still in a great deal of pain, and they have narrowed it to 2 things. Both are treatable. One is Osteomelitis (sp?) and the other is Histeocytosis (sp?). One is an infection and the other is a rare bone disease that is treatable, but may still require chemotherapy. Thank you all so much for your prayers, and please continue to pray. I'll update you when we know for sure what it is.
Thanks for being a family that will pray together

Thread: Curtni Bedwell |

My Younger brother (and forum member) Curt Bedwell, who is the pulpit guy at Amhurst Church of Christ in Ohio has a prayer request. His 7 year old daughter Curtni was taken to the hospital complaining of severe leg pain. She's had a couple of MRI's and gobs of other tests, and they are thinking it could be cancer in her bone. She's got a full body MRI, a bone biopsy, and a team of specialists who will look her over tomorrow (Monday, March 25th). They are at Rainbow Children's Hospital in Cleveland, OH.
Please pray for healing for Curtni, and courage, boldness and an ability for Curt and Tonya (Curt's wife) to walk with the Spirit.
Thanks
Wes

To clarify my previous post about Westside in Sullivan. We do most of our material acappella, with a mixed gender, stand up front praise team, and we are a Church of Christ with a non-instrumental heritage.

At Westside in Sullivan, IN. We have used a guitar for a presentational or meditative piece, (whatever you want to call it). We use tracks on a regular basis. I usually use Iworship material, but I will also buy tracks online and put my own video background and words to them.

Praise you Father because you are worthy, and you are so good to us. Thank you for leading Gregory in Your ways. Continue to lead him to do Your will as he walks this path. Give him open ears to hear Your voice, open eyes to see the people he'll be ministering to through Your eyes, open mouth to worship you and speak your words, and an open heart to allow you to work in.
In the Name of Your son

I think Shane makes a great point. Any title can be taken wrong. I think that the most important thing for our ministries is not to get them named right, or even to start teaching, but to model a life of worship and humility. If we're doing that, then the title won't matter, and the teaching will be accepted and appreciated, and hopefully applied.
